Transmission break in period

Can someone give me some information on breaking in the transmission? My tribute has about 600 miles on it. It runs great and I love it. I have noticed that it seems to shift slowly from the lowest gear into the next gear. I notice it most when doing corners. It seems to be getting better. Is that part of the "learning" that it does?

I just got to 1,000 miles on mine and I noticed the same kind of improvement. It seems to drive better with each 100 miles that goes by.<br><br>Love my 'ute.
