I recently bought a 1994 MPV. The 1st thing I always do when I buy a car is have the timing belt replaced. Do I also need to have the timing belt tensioner replaced? Heidi

The 3.0 V-6 engine is run by timing chains and do not need to be replaced

Hi, I registerd to post a question about my mpv, but scared now. with a name like mazdamastertech. You should know the 94 mpv is a timing belt. not a chain. You should change the belt and the tensioner and the idler pullys and waterpump. But dont worry. It is NOT an interferance engine. and id recomend mpvclub.com for tech questions
