Sticky Passenger Window Switch!! I NEED A FIX!

On my 1995 LX, the passenger side window switch gets stuck when you try to push the window up. It goes down perfectly and the button pops back out when released. When you push it up, the button stays pushed into the switch and you have to push down again to release it. I've taken the unit out and looked at it, but its just a piece of plastic with some cords hanging out of the back. I'm thinking a little WD40 might do the trick, but spraying that shit inside the plastic might hit some exposed wire. If anyone has had this problem, how did you fix it? I don't want to replace something that looks as if it's this easy to fix. Any ideas on getting it unstuck? Thanks!

Rather than trying WD 40, I'd suggest that you get a spray can of electrical contact cleaner (auto parts store should have this). It is specially formulated for electrical parts and will clean and degrease without leaving any residue. The cleaner is very votile and evaporates quickly. If you are comfortable and self assured mechanically, you can try disassembling the switch and rebuilding it. I have done this with numerous switches including a Taurus window switch.
