Sticky accelerator pedal?

Anyone had a problem with the accelerator being sticky on initial tip-in? Our ES-auto seems to be getting worse (13k miles).<br><br>What happens is that it takes a significant amount of force to get the accelerator pedal to move initially, but after that it moves with "normal" foot pressure. There is a lot of friction somewhere in the linkage that has to be overcome to get initial motion.<br><br>Has anyone else had this problem? If so, where should I lubricate, or should I just take it in?<br><br>Thanks,<br>Rick

Rick,<br>I've received a few dirty looks from my wife when I'm driving her Tribute and I lurch away from a stoplight. I always tell her it was because the accelerator pedal stuck but she never believes me. I think you're on to something here.<br><br>I've never really been able to identify a pattern to it - I think it happens about once on any average length trip. My wife claims it never happens to her. I have no idea what to do about it and I've never considered it enough of an annoyance to take it in for repair on this.
