Any opinion on these? I think they are good idea's. Especially if you only carry stuff once or twice a year. The step prevents having to install a permanent bumper step and the trailer folds up yet holds 500lbs. <br><br><br><a href=http://shop.store.yahoo.com/gofast/hitchncarry.html target=new>http://shop.store.yahoo.com/gofast/hitchncarry.html</a><br><br><a href=http://shop.store.yahoo.com/autoaccessory/receiverhitchstepfl.html target=new>http://shop.store.yahoo.com/autoaccessory/receiverhitchstepfl.html</a\ >

Have you ever used one...??? I did YEARS ago and the biggest problem for us was we went with a lot of people and the combined weight of the carrier, people etc. made the tail end come within inches of the pavement. Another thing was it poured on the way to the Keys and the luggage gets direct hit from spray and water thrown from the tires. Water proof scuba stuff was wet in the bags...luckily it was all scuba gear. I am getting a soft luggage carrier that is water proof....they range from 25.00 at Walmart to a fully waterproof one from American Tourister. Either way you go...good luck. I bought the bumper step...chrome looks good and most of all it prevents scrapes on the rear bumper when you unload from Home Depot...wherever.

Make sure they have 1.25" version. I noticed that the tray was for 2" hitches and the TribScape has 1.25" hitch.<br><br>I'm stumped by having a smaller sized hitch. Specifically I got a Colorado Avalanche hitch cover (Go Avs!), but it's 2". The only adapter I've seen adds 6-8" in length and I'll just whack my knee on it with it out that far! I'm desperately searching for a 1.25" cover I can swap the chrome logo part with... No luck in town or on the 'net - yet .

Great point. I also found out that the carrier is not expandable. It is only about 2ftx4ft. That's not enought, but the step hitch I think I will buy also.
