My wife had her Extra Special Tribute (2700
miles) stall twice. Brought it to the dealer, they drove
it 20 miles & could not duplicate the problem & no
codes showed up. I can see that this is going to be a
long process.<br>Before bringing vechicle in, I
checked to see if they had actually put in the pollen
filter that I paid for at delivery. No, they had not.
Service installed it for me. Buyer beware. I hate car
dealers.
I am hearing all these problems with the Tribute
on here, but I just wanted to let everyone know that
I guess I have been lucky! I have had my Tribute
for almost a year now, 16K miles on it and not 1
problem to speak of! I guess the old Italian guy from
South Philly who threw a dollar bill under my floor mat
for good luck really gave me some good luck! How
about some more Tribute success stories!
I've had good luck too. Bought my Tribute in
April and I have 11,389 miles on it. Had my oil changed
twice and tires rotated once. That's it so far. I did
have all the latches and hinges lubricated last oil
change though. Doors seem a bit creaky to me, and still
do after the lubrication. Of course, there are
things I don't like about the Tribute, just like
everyone else, but I do love the car and haven't had a
major problem (knock on wood) yet like so many others.
Maybe because I just bought it a few months ago? Hope
my luck continues!
