Our 9 month old ES, now 10,000 miles, stalled on
one occasion two months ago, restarted and hasn't
occured again since. First diagnostic attempt was
fruitless as has so often been the case. I was recently in
touch with Service Managers at two regional
dealerships, both independently revealed that Regional Mazda
Tech has indicated a computer program correction is
imminent (perhaps 2-3 weeks). They have apparently been
able to accumulate adequate data from numerous
computer-aided road tests.<br>This is FYI only though many of us
hope the "fix is in"<br>Otherwise, this car has been
expectional fun, agile, comfortable up to about 3 hrs behind
wheel, and reasonably fuel efficient (as high as 23.75
MPG with three adults).<br>BTW, LOSE THE FIRESTONES!!
At 2500 miles, I replaced them with Michelin Cross
Terrain SUV's. The ride, handling, noise performance
improvements were all outstanding.<br>Also, have consistently
used new 5W-20 Amsoil since first oil/filter change at
3K, Amoco 87 octane consistently, 2 doses of Techron
at each oil change.<br><br>ZOOM, ZOOM
