The X-plan is Ford's plan and the S-Plan is Mazda's name for it. From what I understand, it is a plan that Ford offers to employees of there suppliers. It is also offered to orginizations that Ford has close ties with. Such as the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) www.eaa.org. I joined that orginization online and was able to have my PIN number needed to get my special price within 3 days.

As I understand, the price is a fixed price that is a couple percent under dealer invoice, although this part is still unclear to me.

I just spoke to the salesperson and the S-Plan is the Ford X-Plan. Mazda calls it their S-plan and the A-plan is the same. They told me it's 102% of invoice (2% over invoice). My friend at Ford says the plan is already a set price for each vehicle so their is no negotiating prices. He says it's supposed to be under invoice on most all vehicles but each vehicle has a different price or percentage. SO just because an Explorer, for example, is 3% below invoice doesn't mean the Focus will be even using the same "plan". Make sense?

John
