first was check engin light..took it to Mazda they told me it was the coil spring problem affecting sensor etc etc and fixed it and advised me to do the 60,000 maintainance now even its only 36 k odometer.. when i took it home next day I noticed this new smoke early in am when the car sit overnight goes away after 10-15 seconds ....and not during driving just overight... took it to the mazda they told me it could be the supercharger.... i am just curious how all this coincidence happened ...it started after I took it to them... beside super charger, any other reasons to cause this smoke in am only?

If it disappears quickly after startup then it could have to do with the catalytic converter (at least this is what I was told at another website). It needs to heat up a little before the reactions inside can take place. On colder mornings, especially if the car has been left off overnight, it's quite noticeable on everyone's car. This also depends on the type of smoke. What color is it? does it have any particular smell? If it's white it could be oil burning, and that could have something to do with the supercharger (oil leaking into the intake... a guy I know had that happen on his '97 S) Any other thoughts?

If the smoke is white and comes out only after leaving the car to sit overnight and dissapears after 30 seconds its not the supercharger its the oil that has droped out from the PCV valve .to prove this pull out the PCV valve from the rocker cover and run the car for normally oner 2 days and the smoke will dissapear .install a catch can on the PCV valve line and the smoking problem on startup will be gone. the supercharger seals are guaranteed for 400000 kms
