A local Mazda dealership in Cincinnati, OH agreed
to sell me a Tribute for $200 BELOW invoice. I got
that offer in writing and went to two other local
dealerships. Needless to say, the other two would not even
match the offer. So, with that said, I went back to the
first dealership and placed an order for an ES
Tribute...Zoom, Zoom...
Which dealership? Keith Kennedy at Jake Sweeney's
in Tri-County has no problem doing S-plan. Matt
Castrucci Mazda in Dayton does S-plan, too.

I never
had much luck with Jeff Wyler on the eastside or the
Mazda dealer in Florence, KY.

I didn't try the
dealer at King's Auto Mall off of Fields-Ertel Road.
However, judging from past experiences with salesmen
there, I'd guess that they won't do S-plan, atleast not
without some arguing.
The dealership that gave me the S-Plan pricing
was the Jake Sweeney in Tri-County. I went to Kings
Automall and Florence, KY. Kings would not budge an inch.
They would barely listen to what I had to say. The
Florence, KY dealer was willing to give me S-Plan pricing
on the DX trim only. I didn't think to check in
Dayton though.

Have you bought a Tribute yet? Or,
are you still considering your options?
That sounds about right. Kings definitely has an
attitude. It explains why they've always got a big
inventory on the lot. They just opened not too many years
ago and I look for them to be one of the dealerships
that Mazda closes.

Too bad you didn't check
Jeff Wyler. The problem with those guys is, like
Sweeney, they usually don't have much in stock.

I
bought my black LX from Matt Castrucci in Dayton on 30
Dec 00 using the S-plan though EAA. I tried Sweeney's
but the salesman I bought my Miata from (Kennedy) was
off the day prior and by the time he called me back,
I'd already bought from Castrucci.

If you
would like to read about my purchase, post #5419
describes it in much greater detail.
