Rough idle?

My '99 2.5 has been idling rough occasionally at stop lights and such, it's around 64k miles and just had an oil change. Putting it into neutral sometimes stops it, but every once in a while that doesn't help at all. Just recently it's been idling quite low (200rpm) which I thought was contributing to it, so I adjusted the throttle wire yesterday so now it idles around 1000-1200 and that's kind of taken care of the rough idle, but I dont know for how long. Also, a few times the acceleration hasn't been responsive (I press the gas a bit more and nothing happens) I'm thinking all of this has something to do with my ECU, but before I wanted to see what you guys think before I take it to the shop.
