you guys are getting like ford & firestone. lets
hope this stays out of the courts.

as a
non-owner, but someone who did a lot of research on the
trib/escape, to me (and a lot of others who are not technical
people around cars), after you get past the sheetmetal,
I see the major components of the two cars the
same. In my mind its like the taurus/sable comparison.
I agree with tinoman - seems to be a lot of
scrapping over not much. For me, the Escape was never
really in the running - both my wife and I do not like
the dash on the Escape with the black numbers on
white face. Cosmetic? Of course. But it is right in
your face all the time.

The escape also is a
little to 'trucky' for my taste - I much prefer the
styling of the Tribute which appears to be more
'high-end' to my eye.

Also tinoman - thanks for the
information on the rail stuff, but it turns out I won't need
it - I am picking up my light parchment gold ES V6
today!! Ordered it in April. Very exciting
stuff.

Thanz
Point to Mr. RedEscapeMan. Thank you. You
purchased the Tribute for cosmetic reasons, and good ones
at that! As for me,I wanted the Escape precisely
because of its more "truck like" appearance.

Mr.
Tribby, not a word here about those wonderful mechanical
differences?? My, oh, my.
