I was just wondering if anyone with the Miller
engine experiences a puff of whitish/grey smoke when
starting the car. It doesn't happen all the time and goes
away almost immediately, but I found it to be a little
much for exhaust smoke. I took it to the dealer and
they told me that it was normal for the miller engine
to do that. Any suggestions/opinions?
I had the same problem, and they told me the same
thing. Mostly because it needs to be a tad rich to get
going.. I noticed it more on the cold days.

But,
I didn't accept that too well, so the special
ordered a new ECM from Japan that was suppose to cut it
down extensivly. It seems to have worked so far.
I have the same problem. My friend works for
mazda. he said all millenia S (supercharged) at one
point will give off smoke when u start it because the
supercharger burns the Oil. its normal. u should check ur oil
every 500 miles cuz it get low from being burnt.
How much did it cost you for the new ECM? Do you
have the part # too?
I find it embarassing when
people see my car puff out clouds of smoke, they think
somethings wrong with the car.

Thanx
