Problems with my 2000 MPV

Hi, I am new to the club. I am having numerous problems and I joined because I am trying to find others who have had similar problems with thier MPV's. My Mazda has 33,000 (lots of adventures), and has been in the shop countless times. Each time I take it to the dealership (3 different ones), they can NEVER duplicate the problem and declare the car sound with no apparent need for repair. Here are the symptoms: 1. A foul burning smell after driving at freeway speeds and/or with luggage or many passengers. 2. An intermittent sound that comes from the driver's side of the engine can be described as a distant fog horn or a vacuum sound. The sound seems to be more prevalent when the car is just started. It is progressively getting worse. 3. The cruise control is not working properly - when engaged and after leveling off of an incline the transmission will not shift into overdrive. The rpm's remain at 4500 to 5000 until I turn off the cruise control. <br><br>HELP! If you or anyone you know have had problems like these or if you have any ideas about what may be the cause, please reply. The dealerships simply will not admit that there are problems - I think they must think I am loco! I will be truly grateful to have some insight. Thanks, Leslie

I think that your problem is in 2 places, you have trobles whith the air colector on the tube that conect the air filter to body (air colector), this produce the sound of the horn, the other problem here is in the transmition on the switch that control speed. If this switch is damadged the overdrive don't work.<br><br>sorry my english & good look<br><br>Felix
