Per your request, I attempted to copy and paste my Word document dealing with fuel smells, but kept getting a message that it was too large (even after editing out some extraneous stuff). In general, the posts deal with intake manifold gaskets, fuel filter fittings, and an 0-ring problem at a fuel injector.

My wife does not want the dealer to screw around with her Tribute until he is sure of what needs to be done. The vehicle runs too good. For the time being, she turns the vent system to "off" when she shuts the car down, and doesn't turn the vent system back on until she is underway again. This is her near-term solution for the smell pending a definitive fix.
