I purchased almost the same vehicle in December
(LX-4WD W/Tow, 6CD, ABS) except mine had ABS & Side
AirBag but no Sunroof. Brand new (4 miles), I paid less
than the $22,000 you are asking them to accept.
$25,000 is well over MSRP for that Vehicle. Edmunds lists
the True Market Value (TMV) price for a new Tribute
with those options at $24,091. Tribute's were about
$600 cheaper when first introduced so TMV on a vehicle
delivered early in the model year should be about $23,500
if new. I would definately pay less than $22,000 for
one with 8000 miles.

A demo vehicle should be
normally discounted as if it were used but it is hard to
get a dealer to accept that amount. A dealer will
make a big deal about it never being titled - so what.
A demo gets driven very hard, the engine is not
broken in properly and has been used by many, many
people. Demo vehicles are often the worst deals available
since dealers want to cover costs. On demos, the dealer
paid holding costs and lost the full holdback amount
and still has overhead and commissions to pay. A
demos cost to the dealer is well over invoice rather
than the usual under invoice cost.

Suggest you
find a different dealer and vehicle.
