Just Ordered

Just ordered my Desert Metallic Tribute ES 4WD. 7/31/01 delivery. Had a heck of a time getting quotes. Out of the eight dealers I talked to only two came back w/ quotes. One at sticker and the other $1.5K under MSRP or $355 above invoice. How did I do?

1.5K under sticker! Who, what, when, where, how? Sounds a lot better than my deal. I managed to work my dealer down to MSRP!<br><br>Brian

$335 over invoice is an excellent price. To buy one today I think most people are paying close to or over MSRP. I can't believe you are willing to wait until August to get a Tribute.<br><br>That is devotion!

Just lucky I guess. It was the only response I got back through using the on-line quote request on mazdausa.com. I told the dealer I was looking for their "best price" w/ only one chance at my business, deciding between Tribute or Escape, delivery time not a concern, no trade and no games. In about three days I received my quote (Lindgren, Reading, PA). I got more frustrated trying to get another quote for comparison.

Thanks. Actually it's my wife whose devoted. However, she was looking forward to driving it to Myrtle Beach this July. Our Caravan will have to do.
