after 9 weeks they gave the ok to release the tribute to us.It might have something to do with my wife mentioning legal action. They replaced a relay for the stalling and the throttle body for the sticking pedal.Time will tell if this is the fix.

Hey entourageguy,

Congratulations on finally bringing your baby back home.

I had a relay replaced and it seemed to help with the stalling, but I still get the hesitation starting on occasion. Only problem with getting that fixed is I am very hesitant to let them keep my tribby until they are able to duplicate and identify the problem. Mine was in about a week and I was tripping! I had to explain that it was not my intention to pay a monthly payment for a tribute while driving a dirty dinky 99 protege for an indefinite period of time. A protege just won't work with a handicapped mother and a 6'8 boyfriend - what should I do, fold him up and fit him in?

I know that I need to take Truffle in for the hesitation starting but they don't have a clue of the possible cause of the problem as well as replacing the driver side sun visor (it falls down while driving following the replacement headliner) but I am scared they are going to keep it for how long this time???

Best of luck to you and I wish you well.

Lily11224

Hey K62067, i've had my tribute for only 3 weeks now. its a 2002 lx v6 in glacier silver. up until today, i absolutely loved it. on my way to work going down a hill, it stalled and i couldn't steer. i realize this has happened to a lot of people. the reason i am replying to you is b/c i am also from central jersey and i was wondering what dealer you are bringing your tribute to to solve the problem. i would like to go somewhere where they know what is going on. also if anyone can post the fix i would appreciate it. i think someone had said that it has something to do with the RPM's.. i think mine has been going down below 1000 when i am going downhill. has anyone else with a 2002 had this problem?? i thought they would have fixed it by now.. thanks for any help. it would be appreciated.

Jo/ central jersey
