Hi all, I have been coming here for months now. I have used so much of your messeges to inform me and help with my new purchase of my 2002 Tribute Glacier Silver ES. I traded in a 1996 Blazer LT for my new baby. I paid 23542.00 which I thought was a really good deal. I know you all know what I am feeling right now with the giddyness of having this fun ride. I can't help but keep looking in the garage to take another look at my tribby.

So let me just do a very brief introduction to you all. I'm 30 and live in the Seattle area and Work for a internet company. I'm also glad to be a part of this great club. I just wanted to wait til I was an owner.

Welcome! ('Guess that's the official welcome for you and your Trib!) Congratulations on your purchase and here's wishing you many enjoyable and fun miles!

By the way, that price you paid seems like a good deal. I wasn't as lucky as others have reported getting better deals, but in the long run it's really well worth it. :)

Thanks, I do have one small question so far. Does the 2001 have the ability to use the power windows for 10 minutes after the keys are removed. I read it in the pamphlit but noticed that my 2002 does not do it. I was really hpoing it would that is a great little feature.

I've noticed that my 2002 does allow the use of the power windows after the key is turned off. I wasn't even aware that it did that until I forgot to bring the window up after shutting off the engine. Truly a useful feature.

In my 2001 ES I find that the power is cut after I open the doors. So, if I can remember to close the sunroof and windows before I open the door all is good.

Jen

I wonder if that 10 minute use of windows comes with the sunroof package. I dont have a sunroof. Can anyone verify.

I believe you have 30 seconds to roll up your windows after you turn off the car if they are already down. But you can't roll them down if they are up.
Somethin' like that.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with the sunroof because I don't have one with mine. It is true that once the door has been opened, it's null and void. Try it without opening the doors and without removing the keys. I can't remember if the keys had anything to do with it, but I know for sure that opening the door will inactivate this feature. :)

Mine works the same way too. I can open and close the windows but can't once you open the door.
