How To Change Spark Plugs/ Gas Mileage Issue

My gas mileage has been getting much worse. A 600 mile trip averaged just over 14mpg, and my last tank mainly in the city was 16mpg. I used to get 20-22 in similar driving conditions as recently as February.

My air filter is fine, tire pressure is at 33, and I've used fuel injector cleaner several times in the last 6 months. Car is at 120k miles. It seems like I am thinking it's the spark plugs.

I can't seem to locate the plugs/wires. Could someone give me advice on where they are and anything special that needs to be done to change them?

just changed plugs and coil boots on mine, awd v6. gotta take off the front engine cover and the upper intake manifold. you can access the front plugs just by taking off the engine cover but upper intake manifold needs to be removed to access the rears. took off the throttle body and cuise control module as one piece to get it out of the way. also took off the intake pipe (obviously) then loosened the 8 (maybe 10?) bolts holding the upper intake manifold and disconnected all hoses/sensors. intake came right off. It sounds like a lot but only took me 1.5 hours to do everything and put it back together.

are you automatic tranny? check your trans fluid level- you may not ne making it inti higher gears - just went through this on another vehicle- flid was very low and with winter driving and lack of any dash warning lights I was only using 4 of of 5 gears for considerable time!!! fwiwjava%20script:add_smilie( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)
