I am in the market for a tribute, and I was curious what percent or dollar amount people were getting off the MSRP for a ES with luxury pkg, and what area of the US they purchased it from. I am in the Dallas to Memphis area.

I live in your area and I recently bought my ES for $200 off of MSRP. I talked to another dealer that wouldn't come off of the MSRP.

The dealer I bought from indicated they were originally allowing $500 off on ESs but reduced it because of the strong demand.

Good Luck!

The one dealer near by that has ES in stock wants a $1000 market adjust above MSRP. The other dealer only has LX with upgraded leather seats will deal a little.

I live in Lexington, KY, and I got my ES 4WD ABS for $200 off the _Mazda_ sticker. The dealer had a $2500 mark-up plus the normal $399 paint sealant and fabric protector (for leather!) scams. So I either got $200 off sticker or $3100 off sticker, depending on how you look at it!

Anyway, I LOVE my Tribute!!!!!

Rick

P.S. I don't feel so bad if I look at it as $3100 off sticker!! :)

Got $1500 off MSRP or $355 over invoice. Ordered ES 4WD Luxury/Tow/ABS, etc. Live in PA. Bought at dealership in Reading, PA. Received quote through on-line request. Was concerned when I went in to sign papers. The salesperson that responded to my request no longer works there (wonder why?). However, dealership honored request. Delivery is TBD with July/August estimate.

The Mazda S-plan and Ford's X-plan are vehicle pricing plans for non-Ford employees such as part suppliers, fleet purchasers, employee friends and identified organization members. The EAA Partner Recognition Program gives you a pin number that verifies that you are eligible for Ford's X-plan or Mazda's S-plan pricing. Join at http://www.eaa.org for $40. The pin # will also work for Volvo, Landrover, Mercury, Lincoln and Jaguar S-type vehicles.

Mazda prints the S-plan on the invoice but it works out to about 1.25% below dealer invoice. Mine was 1.27% below invoice, over $2100 below MSRP, and over $4000 below dealer posted pricing on similar models. One additional benefit is that they are supossed to charge only tax, title and licensing fees, no prep or processing charges and the like. This probably saved another $200 over what the dealer normally adds in.

The only real catch is that you have to find a dealer willing to accept the S-plan since they do not have to do so. It is not hard to accept plan pricing on readily available models or less popular equiped models. It can be very hard to find a dealer that will accept this plan on the hard to find Tribute LX & ES models with ABS and Luxury package except on customer ordered vehicles.

I bought my Tribute in Oklahoma. The dealer indicated they are no longer able to accept orders for LXs or ESs. They can only order DXs.
