Heating alarm

I am wondering if anyone can help me to get rid off the heating alarm on myMazda 323 GT. I do know what that alarm could be as I haven't got the car's manual. The whole problem started after I washed the car's engine. Alarm is still ON regardless of driving the car or not.This alarm is not in connection with the cooling system. Some people suggested that could be the heat sensor in the catalytic converter. Your help will be appreciated.
