Funny Noise?

Has anyone experienced a metal-like noise (like sharpening a knife) coming from the engine area? Its very slight, and comes and goes (usually with acceleration).<br><br>I know next to nothing about cars, so before I take it back into the dealer..... I only have about 166 miles on it. But love it so far!<br><br>Laura

YES! I have that problem as well, see my latest post. JayLiu, and try to shut off your AC and see if the problem re-occur. If it does stop, then you have the same problem as I do. Becuase the sound is actually coming from the air compressor. My local service people says it's normal!!! (I WON"T ACCEPT THAT) and everything is in factory spec. Go to your service center and file a complain like a did. Maybe we can united our force to make Mazda do something about it.
