Is the door panel on the ES (where the handle is) the same crummy hard plastic as the DX - or is it padded at all?

I have an ES and the panels are pretty hard.

As I recall, the armrests are the same but the panels are slight upgrades, but they aren't luxurious. As I recall the DX's had a dimpled molded plastic. The ES has a (minimally padded if at all) psuedo-leather panel instead.

To me the best interior upgrade in the ES is the leather wrapped steering wheel.
