Correct torque for lug nuts?

Does anyone know the proper torque (ft/lbs) for the lug nuts? Some wheels can be warped if the nuts are over-tightened by an air-wrench. I always asked for the nuts on my 929 to be hand-tightened to proper torque .

I tighten to around 90-100ft-lbs. You can check the ford or mazda manual to give you the exact specs.

I believe my 2005 Tribute is rated at 100Ft/Lbs. I have been torqing the wheels to between 96-100 Ft/Lbs since it was new, and I have not had any issues (vehicle currently has 81,000 miles).

Different generations may have different torque specs.
