Build Date

The build date on my Trib was 10/00 and I got it 11/00. I'm happy to say (knock on wood) that 24K miles later, it's doing as great as ever, no fuel smell, no real problems at all, and just had the rear hatch problem and a handbrake light problem. I'm getting 20-21 mpg around town and 25+ on trips.<br><br>I did take someones advice (I think it was Tribby2001) and checked my tire pressure. It was down to 27 psi in all of the tires. Corrected that and noticed a return of the great handling I had enjoyed earlier but it had gotten a bit soft. Thanks, Tribby.<br><br>Those Shelties are extremely smart dogs, but I don't think they're up to operating the windows, so I am glad you keep the control locked out! They're too precious to take a chance of one jumping out, especially on the roads you have to travel!<br><br>Next thing you know, they'll be changing the radio station if you let them!

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I've been awfully busy with work here.<br>I love my Trib, I just wish the mileage was better. A friend of mine is getting a silver Trib ES sometime within the next two weeks. He went through the same dealer I did, and they also worked a swap with another dealer like what happened with me. He's been driving a 1994 Mazda 626 for the past 7 years.<br>Out of curiosity, how long have you lived in Oak Ridge? My mother has a cousin (he'd be in his 70's already) who has lived in Oak Ridge since at least the 1960's. His kids would have grown up there too and they'd be in their 40's probably. Their last name is Shapiro. Any chance you know any of them? Just curious.
