BOB M. wind noise question

hi. is the wind noise problem because of the design of the side mirror ? or is it because of some door seal/gasket ?<br><br>i've tried taping all the gaps where the mirror meets the housing and that did quiet things down a bit, but i'm still not sure if door gaskets are to blame ?<br><br>any insights?<br><br>thanks

Yesterday I had to drive 2 hrs each way and I noticed terrible wind noise coming back. I noticed the wind was blowing and there was a lot of traffic/trucks around. Being that it isn't constant AND if you fold the mirror in it is reduced greatly then I suspect it is the mirror..not necessarily just the design, I think that most larger SUV mirrors are louder but it is no excuse for the noise. I really noticed it yesterday which was truly the worst I've heard it....BTW it was a curious thing and not very bothersome. It was not constant...<br><br>bob
