Anyone ordered 02 ?

Has anyone ordered a 2002 Tribute ? Couldn't find any spec or pricing changes from Mazda. People on the Escape board were able to order 02 Escape weeks ago and expect deivery next week.

I Ordered a 2002 LX FWD Black ABS with deluxe 6CD stereo on July 22nd. <br>The prices are not out yet, but I put $500 down. <br>The dealer stated I would be able to purchase the vehicle for $500 under 2002 MSRP.<br>Also expected delivery date would be anywhere from mid-Sept to Oct.<br>I also called Mazda USA customer service and was told that 2002 Production starts this month and that the official prices will be released sometime this month.

I ordered a 02 ES with trailer towing package, 6CD, and ABS/SAB in desert metalic last night. Prices wernt out yet, but are expected to increase a "few" hundred dollars. <br>I read somewhere that the ABS/SAB are to be standard on 02 ES's. Also I passed on the sunroof as there is a hold on orders with this option.<br><br>One local Ford dealer has a 02 Escape sitting on the lot already.

I have not specifically ordered, but my local Mazda dealer is expecting 4 '02 models in early-mid September.<br><br>3 ES and 1 LX.<br><br>I gave them a deposit on one of them (a loaded, silver ES)<br><br>They didn't know the pricing changes, or if anything had been changed for the new model year.<br><br>But I'm not too concerned about the price, 'cause I'm eligible for the S-plan and will pay under invoice price anyway......

I hope the info on the s plan pricing helped. <br><br>And what did the 2002 Escapes look like? Are there any body changes??? Did the dealer give you a brochure of the 2002 Tribby? It would suck if the 2002 already have a major body change from the 2001...<br><br>I hope you have a short wait and no additional problems from your dealer.<br><br>Lily11224
