You what sucks?......I'm leaving work this morning after working 12 hour midnights....ok.....Its deer season here in WV....the 2nd day...I was going hunting....oh until noon or so...or as long as I could hold my eyes open LOL......when all of the sudden.....this little spike buck decides to trot across the road.....he took on the Tribute and lost.....I was going 55mph....check it out in the Wood Tribute photos....It just turned over 12,000 miles....its still new!! or was! LOL......oh well.....enjoy......david in WV :-)

Actually, your front bumper looks like it performed just as it should, absorbing most of the impact. If you were doing 55mph, and the deer looks like it will easily go 100 lbs., I think you came out pretty darn lucky. I wonder what the Tribute would look like if you had centered the deer between the headlights?

Did you keep the deer? Tennessee has the infamous "roadkill" law, and you can keep what you hit if you want it. No permit required!

Sorry about your tribute, but I'm glad you weren't hurt, the car can be fixed a lot easier than you.

I kept the deer but I don't think the meat is going to be any good......back quarters are all broken up......Its head bounced off of the center of the tribute and broke the chrome piece right about the Mazda emblem....smashed back into the radiator just a bit.....also it shoved the fender out at the drivers side mirror......the tribute handled extremely well when I slammed on the brakes.....veered just a little to the right but it was controllable....going to the body shop tomorrow...this should be fun......NOT!! thanks for your comments......dave in wv.....ZooM-Bang-ZooM!! LOL
