I've got a problem, maybe you guys can help: I just replaced the entire rear brake system (rotors, pads, calipers and hoses) on a friends 2002 Protege. The rear calipers were froze and not working good at all, but now it has another problem: There's still air in the brake lines, and no amount of bleeding will get it out. I was very careful not to let the master cylinder run dry, and the petal is still spongy and the car barely stops (feels like only the back brakes are working) Right now the parking brake stops the car just as good as the brake petal.
Is there an extra step in the bleed procedure because this car has ABS?
Any help I can get would be appreciated, I'm stumped at this point.
A few details about the car: 2002 Protege, 2.0 4 cylinder, automatic, 4 wheel disks with ABS.
