2001 Mazda Tribute Lx 3.0 V6

so my wifes 2001 mazda tribute lx 3.0 v6 has been having trouble starting she would go to run errands starts fine in the mornings goes to about 3 to 4 stores then tries to start it to come home starts then dies then puts the gas pedal to the floor then it starts then dies again then about an hour after the engine cools down starts like nothings happend mostly does it on warm days any ideas

I have a 2004 Tribute with similar problem for the past year.

Sounds like you guys have vapor lock issues or the fuel pump check valve is letting the pressure escape. I expect the fuel pump might be in danger....

No matter the car, even a Tribute is going to have some issues at nearly eleven years old. The Plus is that it's still on the road.
