1998 MPV defective front brakes?

Hello everyone,<br>I'm wondering if any of you owns a 1998 MPV-LX and has ever replace its front brakes pads.<br>I just recently replaced mines,although it was prematurely;because I noticed that every time I press the brake pedal, the steering wheel would vibrate.<br>When I pulled out the rotors, I notice that they had been scrached and had a big groove in the inner side(the outside looked very smooth).<br>I had them turned and when I was setting the new pads, I noticed that the pad that goes in the inside does not fit exactly like the one that goes on the outside;the inside one does not fit exactly on the edge of the rotor,it seats about 1/8 of an inch towards the center of the rotor.<br>I'm wondering if this is a defective design from the factory?
